Freedom and Religion

Two thousand years ago, died on the first Christian martyr,Stephen, then made a saint, who is celebrated the day afterChristmas.

After then,  died  millions in the name of Christ, thrown to the lions, quartered, roasted, peeled, tortured, stoned, imprisoned, burned, impaled, crucified, beheaded, simply deprived  of their freedom and life because they believed in Christ.

The last 35 christian martyrs were Nigerians and  were killed in the day when we celebrate the incarnation of God in  Jesus,  The greatest gift of God to men.

It 'sad to hear that stillsome men are killed for  religious beliefs.

Perhaps it is time that all the Churches come together to reaffirm definitively that God is one, no matter how you call Him. And each, while maintaining its theological and doctrinal peculiarities,  recognizes the others  the right to worship God in the manner deemed most appropriate, without a right to arrogate to themselves the divine monopoly behind which many men actually hide their lust for power.

From my point of view, I see Christ in his manger, helpless, come to bring peace and love, and crucified himself, the symbol and witness to the freedom to profess a creed without wanting to impose anything on anyone.

My heart is sad

My  heart is sad. I've read of a man who didn't accept his wife studying for a degree and who has cut off her right hand five fingers to stop her. I ask my self "why?".
Why a man has to act in such a savage, uncivilized manner?
How can a man do such a thing to the woman he loves?
How can a man do such a thing to another living being?
Not even to an animal can be done such an horrible mutilation!
I feel the shame to be a man; 'cause this man is part of our world; he comes from the same place we come; he's part of our way of behaving: he fears facing women's emancipation like many of us do; he was born from a woman like we were!
But I still feel the shame to be a man!

Prologue to The Poem of Creation

I sing  the God Almighty’s  Creation
Wherein  were firstly born Adam and Eve
Chosen  seed of any human Nation
By the timeful  they could only   conceive
 the joyfulness with no desperation
In the Eden still so far to misgive
The outcome of serpent’s   deceiveness
Which will take them off    every pureness !

I also sing  about the valiant braves,
descending  straight from the elected race,
who  such in courageous   and daring ways
     Isr’eli  people to holy surface
They lead of  Palestine. Betray’ls, hates, loves,
I don't omit, on fortune and disgrace:
  those between God and men, tribes and kingdoms ;
and laws, wars, exiles I sing in my  songs.

Arduous   so much however it ‘s my part,
long and full of traps my composition,
That plenty of fear I feel into my heart,
if I dare to see myself on action,
and tremble  with my head before I start
The Old and the New Holy Narration!
My Fairy God, Firmament’s Creator
Please make me such an able narrator!

From   Genesis’ to Apocalypse’s book
please drive my hand between rhymes and accents
to enable it jointly with mind, to hook
the most significant , deep sentiments
in order they can take a fairly look
of  those seventy three, pious components!
If someone goes to Source for sweet tasting
surely my efforts I won’t be wasting!

After St John 6, 51-58

Quatrains ABAB

“ I’m the living bread from heaven
If anyone eats of this bread
He’ll live for ever and ever.
This bread is my flesh which instead

I’ll give for the life of the world”
Then the Jews began to argue
Sharply among themselves: “ How could
This man give us his flesh to eat?”

The Son of Man told: “ I’ tell you
The truth, unless you eat Jesus’s
Flesh and drink His blood, you have no
Life in yourself. Whoever eats

My flesh and drinks  my blood he has
Eternal life and I will raise
Him up at the last day. Because
My flesh is real food and my blood’s

Real drink. Whoever eats my flesh
And drinks my blood remains in me
And I in him. Just as the fresh
Father sent me I’m living

Because of the Father, so those
Who feed on me will live grace for
Of me. This is the bread not close
To that manna eaten by your

Forefathers whose life did render
This bread came down from heaven and
Who feeds it will live for ever
Each pity through It being emend!

The life comes from the sea

From the sea comes every life
And from the sea came the ancient fathers of Sardinia;
From the sea they did get their food
Before they discovered
Our rich, great land of Sardinia!

From the sea came the roman enemies
Conquerors, destroyers
And after them
Other avid merchants
Came to exploit, to kill.

But I still hope
That soon this same sea
Which is named after us
Might define again
The borders of our own land
And Sardinian people
Might take the sceptre of command
That the fate and the story
Has assigned to them
And just to them

The Best rock guitar player of any time

Jimi Hendrix, The rock  legend, has been voted the best guitarrist never playng on stage.
As matter of fact he was my favourite, though I remember I.ve dreamed with Jimmy Page (third place), Eric Clapton (second place), David Gilmour (strangely not included in the top ten) and some more.
I remember the Jimi Hendrix double track "Eletric Ladyland": a real masterpiece on rock music history.
It was my first track in tthe early seventies, that I swapted with a boring romantic italian compilation.
What a shame he died at 27. Who knows how many other emotions he could have granted to rock fans all over the world?

If I

If I were a newspaper
I would publish
just in the front page
all in capital letters
each and every day
"The 10% of people own the 90% of reachness";
If I were a television
I would show
just at any news edition
how the 1% of people
are impoverishing
and paupering
the 99% left!
If I were an opinion maker
I would say the people
that the Earth
belongs to all the men
while a few of them
have risen walls and banners
to grab goods and money;
If I were what I am
I would say
as I do say
that now the time has come
to make justice and equity
and start giving to each man
what he deserves
what God has done
for every one.

which scrounges their people!

the dawn of new distribution
of richness of earth!
Let them celebrate

She's very special not only because is very nice, as you can see in the picture, but because she's estimated to be the seven billionth baby inhabitant of our world.
Best wishes Danica!
I'll pray God for you and for all the sons of generous and prosperous Mother Earth!

Great Velàzquez

Who knows how many masteerpieces rely forgotten in family's cupboards, mixed up with valueless tools.
It's just what happened to the Shepperson, an ordinary family from Oxfordshire.
Between a good number of anonymous paints they discovered a 3 million £ Velàzquez masterpiece.
To be more precise it was discovered by Mr Mckenzie, from Bonham auctioneers who are going to sell it the next 7th december.
The  great spanish artist painted the Portrait of Gentleman Juan Mateos, that's the name of the 99th Velàzquez paint, most probably in 1632 and was bought by Mathews Shepperson in 1820 for as much as seven shillings.
A quarter of pound really well spent.

New hope for paraplegic people

Good news for paraplegic people. It's called "Ekso" and works as a sort of a mechanical skeleton consenting paraplegic people, who have had spine's damages, to erect and walk over by picking up tiny body movements and then translates them into strides while motors in the device's hip and knee joints drive the frame forward.
"The first time I walked, I cried very hard by joy!" said Amanda Boxtel, first paraplegic woman to text the new technology in Europe.
The robotic skeleton was first conceived for military purposes by USA Forces.
One more proof that often bad born ideas can become great supports for civil and good aims.

Searching for a song

James McKinley jr, in today's NYTimes, underlines the lackness of an anthem for the OccupyWallStreet's people, today assembled at Zuccotti Park, Manhattan.
The songwriter Mr Morello has tried to propose Woody Guthrie's songs and himself's compositions but still the Movement needs a very personal anthem to be played as leading song for the worst economic crisis since the Great Depression of the twenties.
I hope they will find a scale pop composer for writing a good text and a proper music, but if they don't I suggest them to adopt the Bob Dylan's "The times are a'changing".

Let them sing, all over the Country, let them sing!
Let them sing, they are the real voice of the Country!
Let them sing, in the name of liberty,
let them sing in the name of dignity!
Let them sing against speculation,
Let them sing against criminal finance!
Let them sing 'cause the world is their world,
let them sing for their sons, for their daughters!
Let them with the voice of the sixties!

Let them in

Let them in Mr President; they are the silent majority who is tired to see a greed, financial  minority exploiting the world.
Let them in Mr President; sit down and listen to them; they have a lot of things to say; they are the future of Mother Earth.
Let them in Mr President; Occupying Wall Street they want to show how a bunch of criminals have occupied the power and not by means of  democracy but with tricks and illegal behaviours.
Let them in Mr President; they are fed up to stand the 10% of people owning the 90% of reachness against the 90% of people.
Let them in Mr President; they want a new world of justice and USA must show the Country is for justice.
Let them in Mr President: you can choose to be with them or against them; with justice or against justice; with the New World or against the New World!

Let them go

Seven hundred have been arrested by police between the thousands of protester against the Wall Sreet Criminals. Can't be arrested at all people who show their thoughts and ideas in a democratic, pacific way.
So let them go! You can't legally  retain them!
We criticize Capitalism not for the sake of communism (which has already shown its owns limits making default all over the east side of the world)!
We criticize Capitalism because we believe that society and market itself is made for the man's welfare not the other way round.
Financial speculatrors make their business and their profits against the majority of society, showing to believe that in the center of the economic system there is the profit, not the man with its needs.
We don't believe in the god of profits.
We do believe in the God of manhood!

Let them talk

Lot of people are protesting outside The Stock Exchange of Wall Street in New York. They show all their discontent for the financial crisis which has been increasing in the last three years all over the western countries.
It seems that Police has arrested few of them trying to spare the spontaneous assembly over with unpolite manners (I'm using an euphemism, as matter of fact).
Well, let me say that I  think that people have all the right to show their disappointment against the financial elite of bankers and exchange's who have acted for  with egoistic approuch aiming their personal profit against the midddle and the low classes, who have been paupereted by the speculations and financial movements.
I mean: we all live in the same society; we share the same institutions, the same culture, the same needs, the same dignity but it seems that these peoplethink to be overe everybody's lot.
So they keep enriching themselves against the common interest; I call them the dark side of capitalism.
And please don't tell me I'm a communist; I don't like communism at all; but I think that capitalism must renew itself if it wants to keep being a point of force in the future of western world.

What a breakfast!

Once the meaning of the word "breakfast" was "a quick interval" or " a short time for eating something before working".
Now it seems to have gained another meaning.
As matter of fact to have his 3 kilos breakfast Mr Steven Magee, in Corby,, Northamptonshire (England) spent more than an hour and a half for an amount of 7500 calories!
Let me say that I prefer my cappuccino with a croissant, 'cause I'm in a great hurry on the morning!
But I must confess that long time ago  I used to have bed and butter, bacon and eggs, sausages, baked beans, lot of marmalade, cornflakes and plenty of milk tea! But surely not in that huge amount!!
Well, what else to say?
Best compliments to Mr Magee, who succeeded where 60 people before him had failed!
He's now the new recordman!
But he must be careful! For if he takes such bad habits he's probably going to win another record: the fattest and sickest man in the world!

Mothers of Sardinia

Where do you leave for
flowers of the world
past and future progeny
of Sardinia?

Far,
where the wind does not sound
the sweet song
of your own language;
too far to love you
marvelous Sardinian offspring!

Whom will you be singing to
the pure music of your laugh?
Whom will you be dancing for
the erotic dance
beloved bodies
you Mothers of Sardinia?

What a shame
to see you so far
serving strange people
who don't speak to you
but to give you orders?

You, who had been sitting
in the past long time
in the throne of power
shall I see you again,
Eleonore's daughters,
free on a freed country?

I wish I could only hear you
still singing
to a little child
an ancient lullaby.

Where is Padania?

Very angry people assaulted yesterday a group of bikers running the "Padania's Tour".
"Padania does not exist"- they cried against the politicized bikers, all green dressed (the colour of Padania's Political Party: the Lega Party).
I personally don't know if Padania does exist or not; (because I come from the island of Sardinia, proud to be Italian and Sardish) but  I know for sure that so many people from the North of Italy are fed up with a political class very expensive, not honest and unable to govern in a dynamic and useful way.
Still remains the question: where is Padania?
There must be somewhere, if so many people claim freedom in the name of Padania!!
Furthermore: those bikers, where were going through on their tour?
Well, some say that all the north of Italy is Padania; others say only Lombardia, Piemonte and Liguria  can be defined Padania; some more say from Rome upward the very north.
I must say that padania is only in the minds of those Italian who fight against bureacracy, mafia and political corruption.
I don't agree with the Lega Party, but I think their critics are correct.

Caput Mundi

I'm staying in Rome for a couple of days. Actually I came over for my daughter's Key-Pop flash mob: something which has to do with Korea and Korean contemporary music; nevertheless it's always a pleasure to be in Rome: yet you get too much hot, too much confusion, sometimes even people cheating on giving the wrong change of the money (and that's big shame for Italy e for the Italian people; as usual, a few cheaters make the impression of all Italians being like that; but obviously that's not the truth).
As for the weather you can defend yourself entering one of the many churches; through which you also win over the confusion: being or not a believer you can stay sit down for ten minutes watching the pictures at the walls or meditating on the meaning of the life; as for the cheaters you can be careful when shoppers give back your money on change: check it out very carefully and don't be ashamed to make them notice the mistake; they will just apologize to you.
I'm guest by one of the most ancient hotels in the centre of Rome, in front of the Basilique of Santa Maria degli Angeli, a splendid Church not very far from Colosseum and Fori Imperiali Sight.
For the rest Rome is still very fascinating: one of the best towns in the world if not the very best one: Caput Mundi, as matter of fact.

To be a poet

"Ubi sunt qui ante nos in mundo fuere?"
This question grows in my mind, from time to time; "Where are those who lived the world before we did?!"
It's a question I make searching for God or investigating on Him!
One day I discover that other people have questioned God or themselves about the same matter: surely Kindleben and before him some unknown poet in 1271 or maybe a classic latin poet...

Is that to be a poet?
Asking all the time the same questions?
We need something new in the world...
I just wanted to be happy, not a poet...

If I were happy would not be a poet...
But a poet is not just a rhymer, or a versemaker...

A poet is a searcher for love!

The Poem of Creation - The Descendants of Adam and Eve - Second Part

It goes on longing for real liberty
which will arrive with Christ  Redemptor
the trip of restless and strain  uncertainty
of the unworthy human gene and traitor
WHom will mislead Wight great  iniquity,
Off from right furrows the seeds of  honour
Abel was murdered by his own brother
Cain, who will be for it,  pun'shed rather.

It was up to Set and his discendants
Enòs, Kenan, Iared, Matusalem
before the ark sailed trough tempestous seas
with Capitan Noè and best of them
Whom   God off   from big flood wanted to please
To resolve the everlasting problem
that Evil in the mud was sinkly dead
and  for His glory Good could raise instead.

But  Noè’s father  has n’t to be confused
With the homonym that ascends to Cain,
to Whom  gave Ada, after conceveid
Iùbal;  Zilla gives him  a son again,
Tubàlkain, father of those who’re used
Working  iron and copper. Is not vain
To say that from Zilla each flute’s player
Descends, as well as those who play cither!

The Poem of Creation

Descendants  of Adam and Eve

Then Adam knew Eve and she conceived
Cain. She said “Now I have got a man”.
A second time was pregnant Eve, glad
To give Abel his birth. But while Cain
Was  farmer,  shepherd was Abel instead!
The eldest his fruits  to  God more sane
Did give,  and Abel  best  from his flock
More pleasing God, what made to  Cain a shock.

to be continued
