First Vision of Isaiah

Listen to me, you, powerful men of the Earth!
You owe weapons and soldiers all around
You have plenty of army for the war,

Through which you would like to dominate the world!
You crave the power, the money, the gold
And every wealth the earth contains !

And every fame, every glory, the honours!
Be careful people full of inequity!
Do you really think are useful your prairies in the Temples

And those gestures of pretended holiness?
Why do you walk in those holy grounds
Mixing crime and solemnity?

You Judges crawling behind
men with no justice,
oppressors of widows and orphans

your immodesty has already
devastated your country;
from your body the dirtiness

gushes out free from extended bands;
your hands are stilling blood,
your cities are turned on by the fire!

The head is sick and the heart is feeble!
Go on to discuss with the Lord
And your sin will be bloodless,

if docile will be your heart!
This way God has spoken
Through his servant Isaiah!

Mind the Black Car!

A recent research, done in Australia, shows the black cars are most likely to be involved in car crash.
But is not a matter of superstiction, or just of misfortune.
It deals with a fact that black colour is less visible on the roads than the white one and the rest of bright colours, like yellow, orange etc.
On the other hand, say the australian reaserchers, if everyone had to buy a white coloured car, the contrast which make them more visible on the roads would vanish.
So, the best thing, is to pay attention and drive without assuming first any drink or any drug.
Also turning on the lights would be a good signal to keep accidents away.

Harder than Diamonds

What is there harder than diamonds? If you are not a gemmologist, the answer is easy to be done: a love story lasting more than 70 years.
As matter of fact, if a marriage is called at its 70th anniversary "diamond wedding", a matrimony lasting more is simply harder than diamonds.
Vernon, 92, and his wife Sue, 87, while he's on his dying bed, have celebrated their 72nd anniversary of life together, as last Vernon's wills.
I wish the pair to live together for ever, in the Glory of Heaven, echoing in some way what the priest told the couple, surrounded by their five sons: "You have fulfilled your promises, and God is smiling."

'He has loved me and respected me and cherished me the way he said he would when I was just a young girl and he was just a young man.

'There is nothing to be nervous about when you are walking toward the person you love with your whole heart.'

Mr McAlister is a retired agronomist and the couple have five children together.

Their sons Tony, Phil, Van and Don McAlister and daughter Anita Floyd were all present at the ceremony.

'They are a testament to love,' said Floyd.

The ceremony was conducted by family friend Bill French who told the couple they were an example to the world.

'When you took those vows all those years ago no one could have known how long that walk together would be,' said Mr French.

'You have fulfilled your promise and God is smiling.'

Christ weeps tears of blood

Usually is the Mother to ooze tears of blood, as happened in Civitavecchia (close to Rome) where the Pope John Paul II Himself seems to have given confirmation of authenticity.

But this time, in the province of Tucuman, north-east Argentina, is the statue of Christ who has seen weeping blood's tears.

Of course the Church is very cautious in such cases because in the past, very often, it has been found out either visionary or cheating people behind these phenomena.

At the moment, what is sure is that a moltitude of people have flown over to visit the Oratory of Yerba Buena, where the alleged bleeding image of Christ is located, in such a number that the priest had to celebrate the Holy Mass on the adiacent streets.

Pilgrims besiege church to see 'blood' run from image of Christ

By Simon Caldwell

Thousands of pilgrims have overwhelmed a small church in Argentina after blood was said to be oozing down the face of an image of Jesus Christ.

A red substance was photographed running from the forehead of Jesus and down his cheek in a church depiction of the Last Supper.

Local priest Father Jorge Gandur said the 'ooze comes from one of the wounds on the left side of the forehead of Christ produced by the crown of thorns'.

Heart-swap mother's joy after having 'miracle' baby that doctors said would kill her

By Lucy Laing

As Rebecca Radford lay recovering from a heart transplant after being given only two weeks to live, she was told she would never be a mother.

She had had the operation at the age of only 23, but doctors had also given her some devastating news - the strain of any pregnancy would be too much for her new heart.

Then in May last year, only two years after her transplant, she discovered she was pregnant. If she chose to carry on with it she risked her new heart failing - which could cost her her life.

She said: 'I am just so grateful to the family who donated my heart. It has saved one life and created another too.'

I do my homework too

It's very fascinating and heartbreaking Jeremy's Keeling's story, first abandoned by his mother, and ready to fill the solitude of a young orang-utan also discharged by her mother.

Read the whole story on DM on line by JEREMY KEELING himself

Scarred by his traumatic childhood, Jeremy Keeling found solace working with exotic animals. Now, in his enchanting and touching book, he reveals how he became a ‘mother’ to an abandoned baby orang-utan called Amy - and how she healed his broken heart...

The car climbed the steep bank at high speed and then rolled – nose to tail – back on to the motorway hard shoulder, the impact ripping the roof and shattering windows. Everything went black. I suffered head injuries, as did Amy, the one-year-old orang-utan I had rescued after her mother abandoned her.

Luckily, my girlfriend Meryl was unscathed and my son Jamie escaped with bruising. A policeman, arriving at the scene, crawled into the mangled wreck from the rear and saw the back of my blood-soaked head. He noticed a large, hairy hand reach out and wrap itself around my head, cradling it. I had once saved Amy. And now she would not let me go.

Love at first sight

They say Johary (left) and Mbeli (right) are greeting each other, meeting for the first time at Taronga Zoo - Sidney- Australia.

A handshake simply won't cut it: Gorillas embrace as they meet for the FIRST time

By Mail Foreign Service

In the world of gorilla etiquette, it appears the handshake never quite caught on.

Instead a quick spin on the dancefloor seems the appropriate way of getting to know one another.

And having met for the first time, these female gorillas rapidly got to grips with some complicated moves.

First, ten-year-old Johari allowed Mbeli, six, to climb on her back and ride facing backwards when they were introduced at Melbourne Zoo in Australia.

Then the partners swapped positions, with Mbeli - a Western Lowland gorilla from Sydney's Taronga Zoo - giving Johari a lift.

Finally they ended with a more conventional ballroom stance, standing and embracing to show their mutual approval.

Mbeli's arrival has brought the number of gorillas at the zoo to nine - with the oldest being Rigo, a 40-year-old male.

A statement on Taronga Zoo's website said: 'It was a sad day for primate keepers when our eldest juvenile female gorilla, Mbeli, departed for Melbourne Zoo.

'Our keepers have been working very closely with her over the past few months training her for this big day.

'The day started off as any normal day in the Gorilla House, with keepers meeting to discuss the morning’s events and then positioning the gorillas.

'All went smoothly until the family realised what was happening and Kibabu, our silverback, became very protective.

'He let the keepers know he wasn’t happy with what was going on in no uncertain terms, even vocalising at them.

'A lot of this is just bluff and it is quite natural for a silverback to react in this way.

'This is part of a silverback’s job to protect his family and that was exactly what Kibabu was doing.'

However, as soon as Mbeli left, he quietened down.

Mbeli was loaded on to a truck and taken to Sydney Airport in a transition to Melbourne Zoo which went 'extremely smoothly'.

'She has settled into her new family life nicely,' the statement added.

The piglet shielded from muck in miserable weather

Clive the teacup piglet might have been happier without the wellies, since his kind are partial to puddles.

This little piggy made sure to protect himself from the wet weather in some red wellies

Thunderstorms rumbled above East Anglia and the East Midlands, with more than an inch of rain falling in Gloucestershire, Oxfordshire and Devon in less than an hour. Lighter rain is set to linger over Britain until the weekend.
Blue tit

Torrential rain left this blue tit bedraggled as its non stop search for food for its babies can't stop just because of the weather

Temperatures will remain average, with highs of 72f (22c) and lows of 50f (10c).

Clive, also known as a micro pig, was dressed up by his breeders at Pennywell Farm, Devon. They said it was all part of the play process for the little animals.

Warning Pornography

Parents must take more care of their children, specially when they are on line.

As matter of fact, according to a study made in Grat Britain, a third of children, get porno's pictureson line before they are 10.

And 8 children out of 10, aged between 14 and 16, download from porno sites at their home PC, while two thirds of them get porno's photografs on their mobile's telephone.

"A serious warning"- say the psicologist Michael Flood- " also because porno's sites on line, don't give a correct idea what sex really is, and lesser they give an education on relation and love affair, giving instead a totaslly wrong and disturbing idea on young generation about sex, such to mischif and mislead young people. Furthermore pornography is more addictive than drugs and alcohol."

Parents must provide their home PC with proper access's filter in order to prevent download from porno's sites by their children, while the school and other education's agencies must provid a correct information on the delicate matter.

Read more on DM on line by Andrew Levy A THIRD of children have seen online porn by the time they are 10, shocking study reveals By Andrew Levy A third of children have accessed online pornography by the time they are ten years old, a disturbing survey has revealed. And more than eight in ten children aged 14 to 16 say they regularly access hardcore photographs and footage on their home computers, while two-thirds watch it on their mobile phones. Yet 70 per cent admit they have never been physically intimate with someone - meaning their first experience of sex is watching often violent scenes online. Parents appear to be unaware of the risk to their children as three-quarters of the children surveyed confirmed their families had never discussed online porn with them. In many cases, parents are simply unable to keep up with their computer-literate kids and have no idea how to install parental internet controls or to stop their children getting around them. Experts warned the flood of extreme sexual imagery was creating a time bomb for young people who would have problems with romantic relationships when they were older and were more likely to commit rape. Leading sociologist Michael Flood told Psychologies magazine, which interviewed hundreds of secondary school pupils for the survey: 'There is compelling evidence that pornography has negative effects on individuals and communities. 'Porn shows sex in unrealistic ways and fails to address intimacy, love, connection or romance. It doesn't mean every young person is going out to rape somebody but it increases the likelihood.' Sex addiction therapist John Woods warned watching porn was more addictive than drugs or alcohol. He told a Sunday newspaper: 'The pendulum has swing too far. We are allowing abusive sexual imagery to be accessed by children. 'We need regulation but that needs people to say enough is enough and demand change.' The NSPCC said it was 'really concerned' about the growing problem. Spokesman Lucy Thorpe said: 'For girls and boys, porn presents an extreme sexuality that puts pressure on them to behave in a certain way and view each other in a negative light.' Justine Roberts, of online parents' group Mumsnet, added: 'We are going to produce a generation with a terrifying idea of what sex is about.' Psychologies recommended a range of measures to stop children watching online porn. They included downloading sex filters - which are often available from internet service providers - onto home computers and checking your child's school has an 'e-safety' policy.

Where are we going to?

Watching some pictures taken on the Gulf of Mexico, of desperate birds trying to save themselves from the consequences of the BP's oil disaster, I ask my self : "But where are we going to?"

"Is that a right price for our high standard of life?"

"Won't we loose anything at the endo of all?"
"Can we call it really progress?"

I know they are very hard questions to be answered but as a man of this earth, in love with the Nature, not in a fanatical way but with a grateful feeling toward God's gifts of Creation I need to pose such questions though I have no reply to them my self, yet only suffering.

Turned into unrecognisable monsters by the oil: Sickening new images of the helpless wildlife dying in the muck of the BP spill

By Mail Foreign Service

It could be an image from a grisly sci-fi movie. But it is not. This bird is a shocking illustration of the catastrophic impact of the Gulf of Mexico oil spill on local wildlife.

The pelican - the official bird of Louisiana - was one of a number that were saved off the coast of the state.

They were barely able to walk or get out of the sea near East Grand Terre island, where officials found around 35 of the birds.

They were treated with detergents to wash off the oil. Many more animals have not been so lucky. More than 400 dead birds have so far been recovered.

Images such as this will only fuel anger towards BP as the spill enters its 46th day and the company struggles to stem the flow of oil from the ruptured Deepwater Horizon well.

Suffering: The treacle-like sludge is hard to clean off and may birds are choking to death on it

Suffering: The treacle-like sludge is hard to clean off and many birds are choking to death on it

Previously, photographs of wildlife coated in an oily sheen were as bad as it got. But now the animals are drowning in the muck, as thick and sticky as treacle, and much, much harder to clean up.

Crude oil has been pouring unchecked into the Gulf of Mexico at up to 19,000 barrels (800,000 gallons) a day since an explosion on April 20 that demolished a BP-contracted drilling platform off the coast of Louisiana, killing 11 crewmen.

It unleashed an environmental disaster of epic proportions. The spill is now the worst in U.S. history - worse than the Exxon Valdez spill - and there is no end in sight.

The president, seen here with Florida Governor Charlie Crist and EPA Administrator Lisa Jackson, is in Louisiana for updates on the Gulf oil spill and meetings with residents and local officials

U.S. President Barack Obama has now gone to Louisiana for a third time in an attempt to deal with the oil spill.

He had previously been criticised for not prioritising the situation in Louisiana, with Kirby Goidel, a political scientist at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, saying: 'There's a feeling down here that this is not a top priority for him, that he's reacting to events rather than trying to control events.'

BP has failed in repeated attempts to stop the leak, and it has now spread from Louisiana, Alabama and Mississippi to lap at the shores of Florida's white beaches.

Government forecasters said part of the far-flung oil sheen had crept within six miles of Florida's Gulf Coast and could reach the white, sandy shores in days.

Experts also fear it could hit the U.S. coast in just weeks. Underwater slicks are caught up in a Gulf current called the Loop Current, set to carry the oil around the Florida Panhandle and out into the open Atlantic.

The U.S. National Centre for Atmospheric Research projected that the oil slick would be driven by wind and currents around the Florida peninsula by early summer and up the East Coast, possibly as far as North Carolina.

The Atlantic hurricane season began on June 1 and will last until October. The prospect of a massive storm spreading the oil, hampering efforts to cap the leak, is chilling.

Back in the Gulf, wildlife officials said 60 birds at the Queen Bess Island Pelican Rookery in Louisiana, including 41 pelicans, were found coated in oil before being caught and taken to a rehabilitation centre.

The brown pelican, Louisiana's state bird, was removed from the federal endangered species list last year.

A bird that feeds by plunge-diving for fish in the open surf, the brown pelican has been among the hardest hit birds by the spill.

Blind man driving a car

The story of this man in the picture (who has been caught playing rugby while officially claiming the payments as a disabled pensioneer from NHS because of his pretended paralysis) reminds me of that lad who yet receiveing a pension as an unfit blind man, was filmed while driving a car.

What a scrum-bag! 'Paralysed' man who claimed thousands in disability benefits caught on camera playing RUGBY

By Daily Mail Reporter

A 'paralysed' man who pocketed thousands of pounds in disability benefits was secretly filmed playing rugby.

Undercover fraud investigators stood on the sidelines taking footage of Shean Saunders in the middle of a scrum.

They also found out he had taken a part-time job as a cleaner.

Benefits cheat: Fraudster Shean Saunders (far right) was caught out when he was photographed playing rugby

The 34-year-old claimed more than £7,000 in benefits during a two-year period after he claimed he suffered from spastic paralysis which disables part of the nervous system that controls coordinated movement of the voluntary muscles.

Saunders, from Yeovil, Somerset, admitted claiming benefits between June 2007-9.

Prosecutor Will Palmer told South Somerset magistrates: 'In August 2007 information was received by the Department of Work and Pensions that Saunders started playing rugby for Crewkerne Rugby Club.

'It was also discovered he had started working for a local firm as a cleaner receiving £142.20 per fortnight.'

He was filmed twice running around a rugby pitch, and at the centre of the scrum.

Mr Palmer said: 'Both times Saunders was playing for the Crewkerne team in the positions of hooker and full back.

'He was interviewed by investigators on January 28 2009 where he denied working for the cleaning company but when shown photographs and video footage of the rugby games he denied to comment.'

The total fiddle was worth £7,448.80 in hand-outs.

Helena Suffield, defending, said: 'My client finds it very difficult to deal with paperwork and life in general now he is not with his ex-wife and he has become a bit lost in the world of officialdom and bureaucracy.'

She said the Dept of Work and Pensions would recoup the money.

Magistrates sentenced him to a 12 month community order and told to carry out 100 hours unpaid work.

The Dept of Work and Pension's senior investigator John Martin said: 'We are determined to ensure people do tell us their true circumstances.'
