My heart is sad

My  heart is sad. I've read of a man who didn't accept his wife studying for a degree and who has cut off her right hand five fingers to stop her. I ask my self "why?".
Why a man has to act in such a savage, uncivilized manner?
How can a man do such a thing to the woman he loves?
How can a man do such a thing to another living being?
Not even to an animal can be done such an horrible mutilation!
I feel the shame to be a man; 'cause this man is part of our world; he comes from the same place we come; he's part of our way of behaving: he fears facing women's emancipation like many of us do; he was born from a woman like we were!
But I still feel the shame to be a man!

The Mystery of My Love

I
I have never loved,
   since never  loved me
the women I loved
and I didn't love
those who tried to love me!

II
I  first pursued
Impossible loves,
and when the overwhelming body
 forced me, I loved,
but it was not love;
surely  it was sweet discovery of pleasure,
flesh into flesh, fire with fire
fury subsided into the abyss of life;
but it was not love.

III
Neither  was love
the spasm which I waited
to see the air colored
by your forms,
when was  enough for me
to feel her presence
ethereal and impalpable, although present,
yet not mine
and it was not love.

IV
So, I'm  still in search of you, sublime, decanted love.
What are you?
You that fleetingly
were sent to men by God?
Are you  for all of us or just for a few?
Do you really exist?
You  catcher of   hearts and reason?
Are you real or unreal?
Lier or truth?

V
Still I'm seeking after you,
poignant love
unveiled eyes,
flying mate,
slave and mistress,
mother and lover,
mystery of life!

Mind the button

If you get married just start reinforcing your shirt's buttons, 'cause they will risk to be shot up by increasing belly fat!

An official study, made up in Greece on a survey of more than a thousand people has showed infact that married men are three times as likely to suffer from abdominal obesity as single men, while married women are twice as likely to have those problems as those who remain unmarried.
