Let them talk

Lot of people are protesting outside The Stock Exchange of Wall Street in New York. They show all their discontent for the financial crisis which has been increasing in the last three years all over the western countries.
It seems that Police has arrested few of them trying to spare the spontaneous assembly over with unpolite manners (I'm using an euphemism, as matter of fact).
Well, let me say that I  think that people have all the right to show their disappointment against the financial elite of bankers and exchange's who have acted for  with egoistic approuch aiming their personal profit against the midddle and the low classes, who have been paupereted by the speculations and financial movements.
I mean: we all live in the same society; we share the same institutions, the same culture, the same needs, the same dignity but it seems that these peoplethink to be overe everybody's lot.
So they keep enriching themselves against the common interest; I call them the dark side of capitalism.
And please don't tell me I'm a communist; I don't like communism at all; but I think that capitalism must renew itself if it wants to keep being a point of force in the future of western world.

What a breakfast!

Once the meaning of the word "breakfast" was "a quick interval" or " a short time for eating something before working".
Now it seems to have gained another meaning.
As matter of fact to have his 3 kilos breakfast Mr Steven Magee, in Corby,, Northamptonshire (England) spent more than an hour and a half for an amount of 7500 calories!
Let me say that I prefer my cappuccino with a croissant, 'cause I'm in a great hurry on the morning!
But I must confess that long time ago  I used to have bed and butter, bacon and eggs, sausages, baked beans, lot of marmalade, cornflakes and plenty of milk tea! But surely not in that huge amount!!
Well, what else to say?
Best compliments to Mr Magee, who succeeded where 60 people before him had failed!
He's now the new recordman!
But he must be careful! For if he takes such bad habits he's probably going to win another record: the fattest and sickest man in the world!

Mothers of Sardinia

Where do you leave for
flowers of the world
past and future progeny
of Sardinia?

Far,
where the wind does not sound
the sweet song
of your own language;
too far to love you
marvelous Sardinian offspring!

Whom will you be singing to
the pure music of your laugh?
Whom will you be dancing for
the erotic dance
beloved bodies
you Mothers of Sardinia?

What a shame
to see you so far
serving strange people
who don't speak to you
but to give you orders?

You, who had been sitting
in the past long time
in the throne of power
shall I see you again,
Eleonore's daughters,
free on a freed country?

I wish I could only hear you
still singing
to a little child
an ancient lullaby.

Where is Padania?

Very angry people assaulted yesterday a group of bikers running the "Padania's Tour".
"Padania does not exist"- they cried against the politicized bikers, all green dressed (the colour of Padania's Political Party: the Lega Party).
I personally don't know if Padania does exist or not; (because I come from the island of Sardinia, proud to be Italian and Sardish) but  I know for sure that so many people from the North of Italy are fed up with a political class very expensive, not honest and unable to govern in a dynamic and useful way.
Still remains the question: where is Padania?
There must be somewhere, if so many people claim freedom in the name of Padania!!
Furthermore: those bikers, where were going through on their tour?
Well, some say that all the north of Italy is Padania; others say only Lombardia, Piemonte and Liguria  can be defined Padania; some more say from Rome upward the very north.
I must say that padania is only in the minds of those Italian who fight against bureacracy, mafia and political corruption.
I don't agree with the Lega Party, but I think their critics are correct.

Caput Mundi

I'm staying in Rome for a couple of days. Actually I came over for my daughter's Key-Pop flash mob: something which has to do with Korea and Korean contemporary music; nevertheless it's always a pleasure to be in Rome: yet you get too much hot, too much confusion, sometimes even people cheating on giving the wrong change of the money (and that's big shame for Italy e for the Italian people; as usual, a few cheaters make the impression of all Italians being like that; but obviously that's not the truth).
As for the weather you can defend yourself entering one of the many churches; through which you also win over the confusion: being or not a believer you can stay sit down for ten minutes watching the pictures at the walls or meditating on the meaning of the life; as for the cheaters you can be careful when shoppers give back your money on change: check it out very carefully and don't be ashamed to make them notice the mistake; they will just apologize to you.
I'm guest by one of the most ancient hotels in the centre of Rome, in front of the Basilique of Santa Maria degli Angeli, a splendid Church not very far from Colosseum and Fori Imperiali Sight.
For the rest Rome is still very fascinating: one of the best towns in the world if not the very best one: Caput Mundi, as matter of fact.
