I've been there
I had to fill the
emptiness of my days
lost in the nothingness
with no place to
go.
Don't ask me why:
I only remember
now
the time of hope
The smoking rings
The dreaming trips.
That's our life
Made of mistakes
Driven by
mysterious course
Aimed to search
What you think to
be true.
And time is a cheater
of our senses.
Only God does not mislead
Our souls.
And I’m still lonely like a stone
And I’m still lonely
Like a stone.
When you are alone at your birth
You will live solitary
Forever.
Only God
Makes me feel good!
My call to poetry’s unity
I call for Eraton’s and Polimnia’s help
To build some sapphic stanzas
verse after verse
Similar, at least, in their external structure,
To the great poems
Built up in Lesbo of Ancient Greece by Sappho
And by Alcaeos and everywhere in the world
Poets are so sensitive to hear for those
Above said Muses.
Regarding the content I might be happy
To fill my poem
with love and peace for manhood
Gathered under a unique big family:
the poetry’s one!
My Light Cross
I get up and collapse
Under the weight
Of my slight
cross,
very little
comparison
with the Unforgettable Cross
Standing tall on Calvary.
I Collapse and get up again,
on shaky legs,
and shaking heart
that only in Your forgiveness
finds the peace!
I wish I could
I wish I could hear
the love songs
closed inside the drawers
hearts unexpressed,
misunderstood;
I would palpitate
for those caresses
never given,
never had,
for those sighs
which shake the soul
like waves
of restless sea.
I wish I could cover the earth
with my cloak of love
to protect fearful
and uncertain souls.
I don’t know
I don't know Elem
if you show your nudity
for money, for hedonism
or for shallow pleasure
But I know
I took delight
at your performance
for my own shame.
As a matter of fact
we are a mere body:
your turpitude
is so my turpitude
in the cosmic unity
of our souls.
Please keep on singing
Tie me like
Ulysses,
I won’t run away
to death
hearing those
songs!
Bind me Lord!
But you keep on
singing!
The sins are not
yours
for the shores I crave
for the eyes I seek
for the thrills of my restless soul!
I beg you to continue on singing.
