With a play of lights, the attention of the
Second Scene is concentrated in an intimate corner of the Viceregio Palace.
Rosina
(deferringly the lover's hug)
- Have you heard

Felipe
(with passion)
- Wait a
little while! Give me another little kiss. Until tomorrow we can't even talk to
each other ... (they will kiss each other hotly again while they hear in the
distance the screech of the doors that rise for the closing of the afternoon)

(Rosina appears going quickly)
FIFTH SCENE

Six SCENE
(Tavern “A Sa Marina” - Don Alivesi- Cosimo
Delogu- Lazzarin Murenu- Boricu Lallai and other conspirators sitting at
different tables. On a table are the four already named before, gathered by Don
Giacomo Alivesi, to plan the insurrection against the Spaniards; you have to
prepare a set of an inn from the late 16th century with tables, chairs and
wooden ornaments.)
Don Alivesi (handing over a bag of money to all
three)
- Here are three hundreds guineas. When you finish the job there will be
another two hundred to each of you! Has everyone well understood?
Cosimo (greedily grabbing the bag)
- Of course! First of all we pick up the son of
Viceroy Felipe and then, in a few months time all the Caller guilds will be
scrambled to throw all the foresters and Spaniards who live in Caller into the
sea!

- This is how a really Sard talks ! (Rising he will begin with a bass voice on Air)

SEVENTH SCENE
(In the center you have to have enough space
for the Dance of the seventh scene that will close the First Part. The Dance
will be a traditional dance of Sardinia, with traditional costumes for example
Ballu Tundu (a Circle Dance): better if in the taverna are ladies too, always
with the typical Sardinian dress, to be able to participate in pairs to the
dance and the party. In the Dance the dancers, one at a time, will separate
from the group to go to the center of the scene, to recite as First Voice or
Second Voice , while the rest of the Group dance in a circle and sing the
Echinechinachinò Air in chorus, tongue twister that means: Whoiswhosaysno?)
