Echoes from a sad soul - 5

 https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0C97786DX

I wish I could

I wish I could hear

the love songs

closed inside the drawers

 unexpressed,

misunderstood hearts

I would palpitate

for those caresses

never given,

never had

for those sighs

which shake the soul

like waves

of restless sea.

I wish I could cover the earth

with my cloak of love

to protect fearful

and uncertain souls.

Nostalgia Time

If it were easy

to go back in time

Who wouldn’t tighten

to his strong chest

The young mother of good golden days?

And who would not follow

the unheard advices

by old good father?

Ah, if we could go back

On those pink lips sighing

Dreams still far from coming!

But while it is true that we are traveling

To the homeland we departed from

that day we were born on earth,

then you better keep on struggling

that road that leads to Superior Mount

 with prayers and courage!

The Ballad of my mysterious love

I

I 've never loved,

   since loved me never

the women I loved

and I didn't love

those who tried to love me!

II

I firstly pursued

Impossible loves,

and when the overwhelming body

 forced me to love,

then I loved,

but it was not love;

 it  surely was

sweet discovery of pleasure,

flesh into flesh, fire with fire,

fury subsided into the abyss of life;

but it was not love.

III

Neither was love

the spasm  I waited for

to see the air colored

by your forms,

when it was enough for me

to feel your presence

ethereal and impalpable,

although present,

yet not mine;

and it was not love.

IV

I'm still in search of you,

sublime, decanted love.

Who are you,

fleeting present of God?

Are you for all of us or just for a few?

Do you really exist?

Are you a catcher of  hearts

or a trap of reason?

Are you real or unreal?

Liar or truthful?

V

Still I'm seeking of you,

poignant love,

unveiled eyes,

flying mate,

slave and mistress,

mother and lover,

mystery of life!

Then came a Man

I remember when,

at the winter solstice,

 we danced under the stars

to propitiate the favor of the gods!

Then came a man,

the son of the Only true God!

I still look at the sky above me

when the stars assemble together in December!

 But now I know whom to pray

for the weaknesses of humanity,

and I know whom to thank

for the beauty of the world!

Searching  in the Universe

You were not ready man

To trip across the Universe

Through the endless skies

In the wheels of the Cosmos

No, you were not ready at all!

Who knows what are you going to be

Wearing those human clothes?

Inside your time

You can be what you want:

A man absorbed in his loves

With a lot of joy

Thousands of pleasures

So much power

And a desperate, lonely sunset;

A lonely man

Searching among his people

The truth hidden behind the prejudices

Aside the ravines of the mind

In the ancient, still unfold pages

Of the Imperishable Book;

Or maybe you will go far away

Pushed by the Ulysses hint

To discover what is set

Behind the borders

of the known world!

No, you were not ready yet

For your trip through the Universe!

You have been stopped by your affections

Or by your sickness

Your miserable power;

Or perhaps

Your boat was simply

still too fragile

to face the fluctuating sea

of mysterious storms on the Space.

You’ll have to enjoy and suffer

Again and again

Constrained in your material borders

Before you can deserve to rejoin

The Divine Unity has All created!

The Slacker

Maybe I was a slacker

Ever since as a boy

I dreamed of traveling around the world;

Yes, I had to be just a slacker

Because I never thought

To spend my time on earth

To make money, to seek for power,

to become someone of success.

Just as a good slacker

I never even gave great importance

To appearance, elegance,

luxury cars.

And when I was looking for truth

In the light of dawns and sunsets,

believing the poets

are best men in the world

And when I dreamed of flying

I certainly was a slacker.

Then, when I chose to rent to school

My bachelor's degree

sure that our society

needs models of freedom,

imagination and passions;

and when I couldn’t bear

hundreds of erupting volcanoes

of increasing  hormones

and I let myself be overwhelmed

then I was definitely a slacker.

And I certainly was a slacker

Even when, according to law,

I preferred love, dedication, affection

that no one counts in the

Gross Domestic Product!

When I finally chose

to consider more important

To be, better than   have,

To think, better than doing,

Meditating, rather than acting,

Even then I was a slacker.

And now that I've discovered

 the best part of life,

That nobody can take me away,

I persist and I am still a slacker!

Sparks of Faith - Volume 1

The World’s Creation

At the beginning God created the sky

And the earth, which was shapeless and desert

And darkness cover’d the abysses close by;

But on the waters, with divine, expert

Zeal, God established that obscurity

Had to be opened to the bright alert!

God, seeing that it was good, called Day the light.

And the darkness instead was named Night.

Then beneath the waters, the firmament

set God, and between them, b’low, the dry land

He also set, whither at same moment,

To any bud and tree He gave command

From seed to be produc’d for nourishment

Of any species, in ground, soil or sand!

After He had named sky, earth and sea

To following duty God had to begin.

Hereafter the lights in the sky He set

Doing the moon and the sun for night and day,

And other signs and stars in dose correct,

for making years and seasons going away,

For the Most High is much more than perfect

And furthermore of this I cannot say!

About this seventh stanza therefore

I will not tell you nothing anymore!

“Fly off all birds”- said God- “freely in the air

And splash in to the  sea any kind of fish;

Graze lambs, calves and livestock everywhere

In grassy lawns that will never languish;

Grow up any reptiles fair and unfair,

living beings either monstrous or polish!”

After the earth had all animals found

God said to them to multiply around.
